Customized horizontal industrial barriers for employee protection

At Detomatic, we can handle almost anything, whether it's barriers with a bent arm, barriers with an extreme arm length or even relatively unusual barriers that open more like a door or gate instead of the classic up-down direction.

This is an implementation for Mondi in Štětí, one of the largest paper complexes in the entire Czech Republic. Two automatic barriers opposite each other prevent entry into a restricted and dangerous area during standard times. However, when replacing some equipment components, it is necessary to ensure a higher level of safety for employees and completely prevent them from accessing them. That's why there are buttons on the barrier boxes that can be used to easily control the barrier arms and either open or close them.

Due to the slightly different mechanism and different loads on different parts of the barrier, the housing of the installed barriers is more robust and stronger than traditional industrial barriers, so that it can easily withstand long-term, all-day operation, avoid unnecessary scuffing and minimize mechanical damage.
